I am Yoann Chaudet (/jɔ.an ʃo.dɛ/), the person behind this site.

I grew up in France, where I studied and started my career. I later lived in China for several years. Today, I call the Pacific Northwest home.

I started programming when I was young and later studied computer science in college. For more than a decade, I have worked as a software engineer and engineering manager. I have built large-scale distributed systems and helped engineering teams grow. This is a personal space, not a résumé. You can find my professional experience elsewhere.

My wife grew up in China, and I grew up in France. We now have two curious young sons who are at home with several cultures and languages. Seeing the world through their eyes helps me discover it again. This site is not about my family, but they shape who I am and what I do.

I feel lucky to spend my time doing work I enjoy.
